Instructions
Observe the difference of reading from the “I” and reading from your name. Journal your Awareness on Exploring the “I.” Move on to the next question.
- Ground yourself by taking 3 to 5 deep inhalations and exhalations. Quiet your mind.
- Become aware of both your internal bodily sounds and the silence within those sounds.
- Re-write the first question from “My COVID Self-Questions” to your current blank journal page. It is recommended to answer the questions in the order they are presented.
- Write a short but in-depth answer to the question. Write about half a page. Write quickly. Try not to think too long.
- Write in the “I” (first person). The key is to keep the answer in the “I.” Example: I feel, I am or my opinion is, I know, I see, I heard etc.
- When you have completed your answer. Without reading what you just wrote, re-write your answer this time replacing “I” with your name. Example: I like apples re-write to Reya like apples. Note: It’s not about grammar. It’s about emptying out.
- Read what you wrote quietly but out loud to yourself. Start with the first answer you wrote in the “I.” Read exactly as it is written.
- Read what you wrote as it is written with your name replacing “I.”
