Who did you become?
Who did you become?
As children we are born with purity of heart and clarity of mind. It was a state of being that only we knew as an individual existed within us.
Where did our purity of heart and clarity of mind go? How can we restore it?
Due to our upbringing, environment, hardships and the many rules society has placed on us, we often become hardened to our own emotions and life. We simply forget who we truly are. We become anxious, depressed, angry, volatile etc. We express emotions we aren't even aware we are expressing. Many times our words don't match our actions.

When you grow up hearing negative things about yourself it chips away at who you are at your core. You start to believe what you are told. Even if consciously you feel you don't believe what is being said, subconsciously it permeates your soul.
The following are some of what we hear as kids

When parents or caretakers engage in a punishment or reward type of discipline it often programs a child to either be a rebel or a pleaser. Neither one is good. If you are busy pleasing or rebelling then who are you?
Negative words produces a negative child. Positive words produces a positive child. However, there is a fine line between positive words and being overly gratuitous to a child.
As we grow and believe what we hear about our self we forget our purity of heart, clarity of mind and the sacred essence that is within our core.
